Student Spotlight: Bhani Sethi, Marketing & Microbiology Double Major, ’23

Q: OUTSIDE OF CLASSES, WHAT CLUBS/ACTIVITIES ARE YOU INVOLVED IN HERE AT ISENBERG/UMASS?

A: I am involved in the Isenberg Women in Business Club. Additionally, I am the head of fundraising for the Isenberg Marketing Club, and I am a candidate for the Isenberg Global Citizens Club. I am a chase career peer for the Chase Career Center and a peer mentor for Residential Life outside of clubs.

Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ISENBERG MEMORY THUS FAR?

A: My favorite memory at Isenberg so far is hanging out in the hub with friends.

Q: WHAT DID YOU DO THIS SUMMER?

A: I interned at Deloitte as a marketing intern this summer.

Q: WHAT WAS YOUR PATH TO FINDING YOUR SUMMER INTERNSHIP AT THE DELOITTE GROUP?

A: I found the internship position on Handshake after looking up marketing internships.

Q: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO PURSUE AFTER GRADUATION? HOW HAS THE CHASE CAREER CENTER HELPED YOU ALONG THE WAY?

A: After graduation, I hope to become a marketing leader. The Chase Career Center has helped me showcase my skill set through my resume.

Q: HOW DO YOU THINK YOUR OVERALL ISENBERG EXPERIENCE WILL BENEFIT YOU PROFESSIONALLY?

A: I believe the overall Isenberg experience will benefit me professionally because I made sure to take advantage of the opportunities Isenberg provides. One such opportunity I took advantage of was the Isenberg Career Day. Through this opportunity, I was able to network with companies and get my name out there to top companies.

Q: WHAT IS YOUR TOP NETWORKING TIP FOR CURRENT STUDENTS?

A: My top networking tip is to make sure you do your homework when meeting those at Isenberg Career Day and networking nights. If you know who is coming, make sure you thoroughly research the representatives from the companies by using LinkedIn.
