5 Tips for Career Success in Spring 2022

The spring semester is a great time to kick start your career prep so that you are ready for the upcoming recruiting cycle! And the good news is that there are some key things you can do that don’t take much time at all. So you’ll still be able to balance your new course load.

  1. Check your resume (5 minutes)
    • Visit the Isenberg Career Center’s library of resume resources for all things resume! Remember that resumes are a work in progress. This is a document you’ll be editing a lot over time, so it’s good to get in the habit of refining your resume even if you aren’t actively searching for a job.
  2. Practice a few interview questions (15 minutes)
    • Check out Big Interview for a huge library of interview questions and tips from professionals. Interviews can be a stressful experience, and practicing beforehand is the best way to build your confidence. And when you go show up for an interview feeling confident, employers notice!
  3. Get clear on your career goals (30 minutes)
    • Winter break is the perfect time to reflect on your career goals and clarify your next steps.
