You’re ready to bring your knowledge from the classroom to the boardroom; and Citi wants to help you get there. Whether it’s honing your skills or building your network, we know that success cannot come without growth. At Citi, continuing to invest in our diverse and inclusive workforce is imperative. Our Freshman Discovery Diversity Program is a week long program designed to provide early education on the financial services industry, and the various career paths you will find here. This program will provide exposure to our culture, our people, and the different paths possible, from Banking, Marketing, Risk Management, Human Resources, Analytics to Technology and more.

We provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed.

Freshman Discovery is an introductory experience focused on helping freshmen of diverse backgrounds understand the financial services industry, gain technical skills and kickoff the career planning process. The program is designed for Black, Hispanic and/or Women of all majors.

Your time here will look something like this…

If selected, you’ll spend one week virtually participating in our program (June 20th – June 24th). The program includes peer networking, case studies, business overviews, and training sessions, to help build skills and access to professionals across the firm.

We want to hear from you if…

  • You are a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident or possess other unrestricted U.S. work authorization and will not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or anytime in the future
  • Have an expected graduation between December 2024 – Spring 2025
  • You are a freshman currently enrolled in a four-year baccalaureate degree program from a US accredited institution
  • Self-identify as Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino and/or a Woman

Freshman Discovery is open to all disciplines and majors. Candidates are selected based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, and leadership skills.

Please note, all applicants are expected to submit a resume and cover letter as one document to be considered. The cover letter (300 words maximum) should outline your interest in the program and/or why you should be selected to participate. Applications close May 23rd, 2022 and all applicants will be reviewed after the application deadline.
