Big Interview is the UMass online interview preparation platform that simulates this experience and provides job seekers a platform to practice behavioral interviewing. Offering comprehensive guidance, virtual mock interviews, an interview curriculum, practice question sets, and a library of resources to enhance performance – Big Interview will increase your confidence and help prepare you for the interview process!

Learn Tab:  

  • Interview Curriculum: Fast Track is great for those with little interviewing experience as it provides you with basic tools to ace your interview! Mastery Track is great for those who have extensive interviewing experience and are looking for more challenging interview questions and scenarios! Advance your interview proficiency as time allows, and access specific videos as helpful.  
  • Question Library: A comprehensive collection of commonly asked interview questions with expert guidance on how to answer them. Practice general interview questions or filter by industry and competency. 

Practice Tab:  

  • Mock Interviews: Practice interviews tailored to specific industries and job roles, allowing users to record and review their responses. This simulates the environment of a video-recorded or virtual interview and helps you refine your on-camera presence. Receive AI-powered automated feedback on your responses, helping you improve your delivery, tone, and content, or email directly to your Career Coach for feedback.  
  • Interview Roulette: Designed to help you think on your feet, you’re asked 20 random, general interview questions asked by AI interviewers. Your responses are recorded so you can review them and gain AI-powered feedback. 
  • Customizable Practice Sessions: Design personalized practice interviews focusing on specific skills or questions. Save your responses and go back to them for continuous development and practice! 
  • Build Answer: Use the Build Answer tool to develop strong STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) stories for behavioral questions. Your answers will be stored under My Answers where you can edit or export them to a Microsoft Word document.
