New Winter Break

Micro-Internship Program

&

Real Experience. Real Impact.

This winter break, Isenberg students have a new way to gain professional experience.

The Office of Career Success is excited to launch the Winter Break Micro-Internship Program, giving undergraduate students the opportunity to complete short-term, paid professional projects (around 20 hours total) with real employers.

Through this pilot program, you’ll apply what you’ve learned in class to real-world challenges, strengthen your professional skills, and connect directly with company representatives all in just a few weeks.

What Are Micro-Internships?

Micro-internships are short, paid, project-based experiences designed to help you explore career paths and build experience that employers value.

Through these remote 20-hour projects, you can:

  • Work on real company projects in your field or area of interest
  • Build professional skills like communication, analysis, and problem-solving
  • Network with industry professionals and Isenberg alumni
  • Add meaningful experience to your résumé — even before landing a full internship

Types of Projects & Participating Employers

Projects will come from a wide range of industries, including marketing, finance, management, and nonprofit work. You might:

  • Develop marketing materials or analyze social media engagement for an ad agency
  • Research market opportunities for a private equity firm
  • Support community programs through nonprofits
  • Assist with data or operations projects for financial organizations

Confirmed employer partners include:
Connelly Partners, Clarendon Ventures, The Broad Institute, and UMassFive Credit Union, among others.

Who can Apply

This pilot program is open exclusively to sophomore and junior Isenberg undergraduate students across all majors. These partners inclusive of several alumni and local organizations are eager to collaborate with Isenberg students through this new initiative.
