This program, based on real work, will teach you the skills you need to build web applications for top startups.

Y Combinator alumni have included AirBnb, Reddit, Dropbox and Coinbase – and every six months they invest in the next generation of world-changing companies. These companies are always looking for great engineering talent to help them create the future.

In this program, you’ll train yourself working for a hypothetical startup that is developing productivity tools for the shipping industry. By doing so, you’ll get practical experience and skills – such as full-stack engineering – YC startups are looking for today.

As you do this program, you may upload your work and profile. You may then forward this to YC to view and forward to their startups. You can do this course without having your profile seen by YC as well – letting you experiment and learn for fun.

How it works

Regardless of your background, university, or what you’re studying, you can upskill for working at a YC startup as an intern, for free, today.
